Specialist translators and interpreters at 4 technical trade fairs

Why have bauma, SPS Drives, the Hanover Fair and Agritechnica always been endless sources of information for specialist translators and interpreters?

Our Nuremberg simultaneous and consecutive interpreters and specialist translators are well sought-after partners at technical trade fairs

For over 10 years, we from the specialist translation and simultaneous interpreting agency AP Fachübersetzungen in Nuremberg have been the number 1 contact when it comes to professional interpreting at technical trade fairs and at all other events focused on technology. Our native, qualified specialist translators and trade fair interpreters with many years of experience transfer the introductory conversations, professional consultations and business negotiations between exhibitors and visitors of different native languages correctly with respect to language and subject-specific knowledge, both simultaneously and consecutively. Before every specialist translation and interpreting job, to guarantee excellent quality of our various interpreting and translation services, we obtain comprehensive information about the product and service range of the exhibiting companies that is displayed at the respective trade fair. Since our qualified language mediation experts also have the ability to convince potential customers with the perfect advertising technique, we have been able to gain numerous international trade fair guests as our new customers several times. Our specialist translation and interpreting jobs including customer acquisition were especially successful at the following three technical trade fairs: bauma in Munich, SPS Drives in Nuremberg and the Hanover Fair (German translation and original name: Hannover Messe).

bauma in Munich – an eldorado for the technically versed specialist translators and simultaneous interpreters from AP Fachübersetzungen!

The largest construction fair in the world, bauma, is held at the Munich Exhibition Centre every three years, for seven days in April. It presents the most technically advanced construction machines, construction material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment over an exhibition area of 614,000 square metres. Since 1954, this top event of the national and international construction industry has been a superlative experience because the exhibition venue, even viewed from a distance, resembles an enormous construction site, with its towering construction cranes and an impressive Ferris wheel. Exciting video presentations show visitors the diverse possible uses of the most modern and innovative construction machines and construction vehicles. Both visitors and exhibitors of bauma are delighted by these performances again and again and also look forward to the special highlights of the fair, such as a virtual reality construction site and a selfie tower which is 20 metres high.

During their interpreting job for the languages Russian and English at bauma in Munich, our managing director Alexander Podarewski and his team of simultaneous interpreters and specialist translators from Nuremberg, who specialize in technology, were highly impressed with the enormous versatility of the exhibits and gained many new, interesting insights into the world of construction technology. While interpreting the panel discussions and conferences at bauma, we seized the opportunity to give exhibitors from all over the world help and advice for their business transactions and the extension of their networks.

SPS Drives in Nuremberg – an absolute must for our tech and language-savvy Nuremberg specialist translators and interpreters!

The annual highlight of the automation industry, the SPS Drives trade fair in Nuremberg, in November was also a central event that specialist translators and simultaneous interpreters like us could not miss! SPS is the abbreviation of „Smart Production Solutions“ and since 1990, it has been characterized by industrial electric automation technology: Both the simplest sensor technology and complex technical solutions are presented at this leading international fair at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre every year, and in 2019, especially the latest technical innovations and the future digitalization of the industry were explored. Since automation and IT are becoming more and more closely interconnected, SPS Drives provides ground-breaking, practical and personal innovations and ideas for digital and smart automation. Traditionally, the specialist audience gives the “Automation Award“, and the jury gives the “Special Prize for Digitalization“ to the exhibitors at this technical trade fair every year.

We from AP Fachübersetzungen followed the announcement of the winners of the “Automation Award“ in the two categories “Control Technology & System Solutions” and “Standard Components & Sensor Technology” while interpreting the award ceremony into Russian and English in real time (simultaneously). Our technical interpreters and specialist translators had sufficient opportunities beforehand to admire all the facets of the products nominated for the prizes mentioned. Finally, the constructive discussions with high-profile representatives of the automation industry on a professional and personal level gave us food for more creative thought and opened up new vistas for potential future projects.

The Hanover Fair 2019 – a landmark event for the technology industry and our Nuremberg specialist translation and simultaneous interpreting agency!

Every spring, the Hanover Fair opens its doors for national and international visitors and exhibitors at the largest exhibition centre worldwide, the Hanover Exhibition Centre. It is the largest capital goods trade fair in the world and attracts guests from various countries, above all from China, the Netherlands, India and Poland. Every year, the Hanover Fair has a different partner country (e.g. Sweden in 2019), and it has presented both innovative and unusual products from the area of industrial transformation since 1947. It consists of a series of international leading fairs on the individual steps of the industry value chain, which alternate every two years. Basically, the Hanover Fair focuses on the following five areas: industry automation and IT, energy and environmental technologies, industrial supply, production technologies and services as well as research and development. Since it was founded 73 years ago, the Hanover Fair has been symbolized by the head of Hermes, the messenger of the gods from Greek mythology. This image can also be seen on the “Hermes Award”, which has been given as a prize for special innovations at the fair since 2004.

We from the nationwide active Nuremberg specialist translation and simultaneous interpreting agency AP Fachübersetzungen were very proud guests at the Hanover Fair 2019. We saw it as a unique opportunity to exchange our experience and information on very exciting technical topics of all kinds in conversations with exhibitors and visitors, gaining new business partners and thus significantly extending our broad international customer and translator network. On this occasion, we had the special honour of recording a video of our company presentation at our own stand, which can be seen on the homepage of our website: https://www.ap-fachuebersetzungen.de/en/. What we found remarkable was that not only international customers from the area of technology approached our stand at this industrial fair, but also German customers from the area of law, and Japanese, Russian as well as American customers from the area of pharmacy.

We will be present at the Hanover Fair again in 2020 with our own stand and the number B52/2 in hall 11 opposite the stand of Endress & Hauser. It is very important for us to maintain our business contacts around the globe thoroughly and regularly!

Agritechnica 2021 in Hanover – the ideal opportunity to further expand the already extensive network of AP Fachübersetzungen in Nuremberg!

The largest global trade fair in the area of agricultural technology, Agritechnica, has also been held at the Hanover Exhibition Centre since 1995, but every two years in November. The organizer of this event is the German Agricultural Society (DLG). Agritechnica originally arose out of the DLG exhibition initiated in 1887 and from 1985 onwards, developed into an independent fair, which took place in Frankfurt am Main until 1995. The last Agritechnica (10-16 November 2019) registered around 450,000 visitors (nearly a third of these came from foreign countries). At this leading international global trade fair, the latest agricultural engineering products for the agricultural industry are presented, and visitors obtain comprehensive information about current trends in agriculture and agricultural technology. The products presented cover, inter alia, the areas of water and energy-saving cultivation, sustainable economic activity as well as the future of plant growing. At this event, an expert commission appointed by the DLG will give innovations the “Innovation Award” in gold and silver. On the first Sunday and Monday of the Agritechnica, which are known as the “exclusive days”, the entrance fee is higher because generally, only representatives of agricultural machine trading, investors from the agricultural industry and the trade press visit the fair on these days. On the other hand, entrance for members of the DLG is free on two days starting from the first Monday. At the same time as the Agritechnica, another trade fair, “Systems & Components”, is also open for exhibitors and visitors in Hanover. It presents systems, modules, components and accessory parts used in the agricultural engineering industry and thus complements Agritechnica.

For our Nuremberg specialist translators and simultaneous interpreters from AP Fachübersetzungen, an interpreting job at the next Agritechnica from 14 to 20 November 2021 in Hanover would definitely be the ideal opportunity to prove and expand their extensive knowledge of agricultural engineering terminology and agro-industrial contexts and processes as well as establish existing and new future contacts with national and international specialists of the global agricultural engineering industry. We are now already looking forward to being invited to this exclusive top event by the organisers!
