During editing, an independent linguist checks the translation for its idiomatic correctness, content, punctuation, grammar and terminology, among others.
In contrast to proofreading, the source text is not compared with the target text in this step. Editing deals exclusively with the translation (i.e. target text) and its adaptation to the desired target group (if required).
However, editing and proofreading also have something in common: the translators and the editors or proofreaders work separately in both cases. The translation can therefore be viewed, evaluated and, if necessary, adapted in a neutral manner.
The Nuremberg translation and interpreting agency AP Fachübersetzungen only employs qualified specialized translators with many years of experience as well as certified and trained editors for the translation of your texts. In doing so, we as a language service provider can ensure the flawless quality and idiomatic and linguistic accuracy of your translation.
